Document outline

This is one document, which asks you questions to assess your current systems to identify any gaps due to BRCGS Packaging Issue 7 in:

  1. Senior management commitment – covering the changes in product safety and quality culture, confidential reporting (whistleblowing) and the changes to the audit structure.
  2. Hazard and risk analysis (HARA) – this section has been rewritten, so we go through the detail of these changes, including allergen risk assessment.
  3. Product safety and quality management – here we look at changes to documentation, internal audits, non conformances, incident management, supplier management, product defence (fraud and product security) and traceability.
  4. Site standards – changes to contamination control, hygiene, pest management, site standards and also the rewrite of equipment and maintenance.
  5. Product and process control – which looks at product development, testing and calibration, process control as well as intake, storage and distribution.
  6. Personnel – looking at personal hygiene, protective clothing, medical screening and training.

Traded products has also been included, but we’ve kept it simple by incorporating these questions into the relevant sections above.
