How to use this workbook

This workbook is part of our Issue 9 training – we’ve gone through the standard and compared every clause and its interpretation, line by line. Where you do need to know about a change, we’ve included it in this workbook.

For each change you’re provided with the reference from Issue 8, the reference for issue 9 and an explanation of the changes. Where action is needed, we’ve provided you with a list of points to work through.

Where changes require a more thorough explanation, links to additional training is provided.

Work through the changes

It’s best to start at the beginning and work through the document from section 1. The changes in the culture section of the standard mean that it’s more important than ever now to use a team approach when implementing the changes. The management team should work on section 1. Engineering should work on the maintenance and equipment section. Procurement should work on supplier management and upstream product defence, and so on.

Use the workbook to help you assign tasks to the team. Where the team need more support to action their tasks, we can help with this – by providing them with the relevant training.
