Senior management commitment training

This is the first section in the BRCGS Standards, the reason why is no accident either. The senior management team need to lay the foundations for how their site will be run. The standards recognise this, so the eLearning and documentation we’ve created for you in this section, ensure compliance using our expertise.

The requirements of the standards is the site culture plan, which sits within this topic. It ensures that employees within the business are aligned to the goals set by the senior management team to support its defined ‘personality.’ Employee behaviour is a key part of senior management commitment section so there’s also a process for reporting this where it has become misaligned with the site’s goals through a whistleblowing system.

BRCGS Food Safety Issue 9, now takes the culture requirement one step further. The senior team need to be prepared to present culture at the audit, meaning that each department needs to be accountable for their own area and presentation of it. Our mini training explains all you need to know to comply with Issue 9, it teaches your how to implement an effective food safety culture plan at your site and you’ll also be glad to know that although designed for the food industry, it can also be used for packaging manufacturers, storage and distribution sites and agents and brokers.

“I found this set of courses very informative in helping technical managers justify the amount of resource they need to comply with certification standards. In my experience business owners don’t understand the technical function and the resources that they require. The resource unit provides a much needed tool to help with this.  I found the food safety culture module very informative too. .”
