The purpose of the internal auditing programme is to find the problems before external auditors do, and before they cause a complaint, non-conforming product (and so waste) or in the worst case a withdrawal or recall. Finding the problems in your system allows you to fix them and so, this system is designed to see internally raised non-conformances as a good thing. A robust non-conformance system then manages them, resolves them and then verifies that they’ve worked. Meaning that you can get on with the day job.
