How Can We Help?

Issuing eLearning to users

If your learners have an email address, you can send them an email which contains their instructions for logging in, that allows them to access the eLearning course you have assigned to them.  However, if your learners are accessing their eLearning when working on site in a training room environment, you’ll need to issue the instructions and login when they arrive.

For both options, we can advise on the best way to do this, although it’s completely up to you, how you do this if you need to align with your own policies and procedures.

Learners without an email address

We recommend that you create a secure document, that can be setup and accessed. It may be a good idea to create a system for creating the username and password that you can use if someone loses or forgets it after you’ve issued it.

The dashboard username and password that you create can then be provided to the learner on a slip of paper when they arrive in the training room, or you can log them in before they arrive. You could also advise your learners of the format that they should use for logging in, such as ‘firstname _lastname_payrollnumber’ or any other format that you think will work.

You may have a similar access system for staff who access their payslip on a portal or email. We would advise checking with your HR department about suitable formats that could be used if you think this is necessary.

Learners with an email address

We recommend that you setup an email template for issuing your learners with instructions and login information, this allows you to save time and keeps your instructions consistent. If you have a system for sending emails in your business, please discuss your requirements with your IT or HR department. Use the information above for ‘learners without an email address’ when creating a format for the username and password as this will ensure all issued logins are also consistent whether the learners have an email address or not.

To ensure that your learners are given the information they need, we recommend that you include the following details:

  • Where to login online – provide the following link, so your learners know where to go, to login and start their training: https://corporate.techni-k.co.uk/login
  • What credentials they need to login – create a username and password for your learner to use. Make sure that there are no spaces in this information as it can cause login issues.
  • The system requirements – make sure your learners know that the training dashboard will require them to use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browsers only (latest versions). Our dashboard does not support other browsers.
  • Internet connection requirements – our training is cloud-based, so ensure that your learners know they will need a stable internet connection for the eLearning to run effectively.
  • Equipment: make sure learners use a laptop or PC, our dashboard eLearning doesn’t function correctly on phones or tablets.
  • Getting help – we have lots of help available online, there’s a knowledgebase, chat function, email address and phone number. Please make sure that you provide information to your learners, so they can access this directly – if you don’t plan to support them yourself as an admin.
  • An explanation – provide your learners with an explanation of what to do when they have logged in, so they know what to click, and what they will see. You can also provide screenshots for a visual guide if needed.
  • Learning resources – let your learners know that once they’ve logged in and started the course, they can download a lesson guide to accompany the training which can be viewed and printed.
  • Feedback information- at the end of each eLearning course, the learner can give feedback online, you can also supply feedback forms of your own – for data analysis.

Please see a sample of the email that we send below that you can use.

Hi (Learner name)

Your eLearning course is now ready. To get started, please go to: https://corporate.techni-k.co.uk/login

System requirements: To get the best experience from your training, please use either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox web browsers and enable cookies. This allows you to enjoy full functionality and you can stop and start your training and easily pick up each time where you left off.  Finally, please ensure you have a stable internet connection and that you are using a laptop or PC – please don’t use a mobile phone or tablet device as these are not supported.

To login to your learner dashboard, please enter the following details:

Username:
Password:

Your course overview screen will be shown when you log in. Begin your training by clicking ‘start course’ next to the course provided. Your instructions, lesson guide and training will then be displayed on the dashboard. Your training will begin straightaway, so if you want to download the lesson guide before the training –  just pause it. Once you’ve successfully completed the training and passed the test, your certificate can be downloaded immediately – don’t worry if you don’t pass straightaway, you can take the test as many times as needed until you do pass. The test is open-book, so you can use your lesson guide to find the information to help you, if you get stuck during the test.

Please note: You can stop and start your training so you don’t have to complete it all in one session. Just log out when you reach a suitable point in the training (at the end of a unit or section) and when you log back in again – you can choose to resume or restart.
