Ruth Shaw

From having a love for food from a young age, Ruth studied Catering & Hospitality before going into the restaurant sector in 1999.  Her tenacity saw her work her way up quickly to become multi-site restaurant manager at the large restaurant chain Las Iguanas.  Fully trained as a Chef, Cocktail Bar Tender & Barista, this gave her experience in managing food safety and quality within the commercial kitchen.  Ruth then decided to take a move into a different side of food; the world of experiential events, marketing new product launches, managing accounts such as Diageo, Ribena and Lucozade.

Since moving into the field of food manufacturing, she has shown that she was born to be a true ‘techie’ – now specialising in allergen risk assessment & management, food labelling legislation and supplier assurance.
